Women are believed to be the weaker gender and are oppressed or are tried to be oppressed in various walks of life. But, History suggests otherwise. Women, are in no way, inferior to men or their abilities. Throughout History, women have demonstrated their strength, ability and prowess. With right atmosphere to grow and explore, women can develop and help develop the society and the nation.
The New year 2023 is about to bring a revolution to the Indian media, the launch of Women Story India. The India’s first-ever e-newspaper dedicated to women, Women Story India.
Launched on 1st Jan 2023 as the India’s first women-only e-newspaper. The prime purpose of womenstoryindia.com is to report, narrate and propogate all kinds of progressive news related to women in this society. It is intended to aid women and support them in all their endeavours. Amidst the controlled media, there are no reliable sources for women to know or believe something. Women are very under-presented in media. According to a 2015 report, women formed only 19% of experts featured in news stories and 37% of reporters reporting globally. To mark an end to this trend, Women Story India made its revolutionary debut into Indian Media. It will focus on the alert and execution of all the ongoing women-based schemes and benefits, implemented in the country. It plans to feature numerous women experts and provides them with a platform to share their ideas and ideals, so that the nation can hear their voice and the government can better understand the plight of women and their necessities to be fulfilled. Women Story India aims to host more than 5 events in a year including and not limited to Seminars, Youth Summits and women empowerment programmes. A dedicated platform for women to make their voice heard and their situations seen, could greatly change the perspective of nation about women and their necessities, Women Story India believes. It is a great initiative, dedicated for the upliftment of women in our society.
