According to the news agency ANI, Maulana Mahmood Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Islam is the oldest religion in this country and India belongs to him as much as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chairman Mohan Bhagwat.

“We are opposed to coerced religious conversion. Religious freedom is a fundamental right. We also oppose forced conversion, deception, and greed. There are numerous examples of agencies targeting the Muslim community, such as the prohibition on Namaz, police action against them, and bulldozer action,” he said.

The Jamiat Ulama-i-three-day Hind’s plenary session began on Friday in Delhi. The event’s plenary session will take place on Sunday.

The renowned Muslim organization also condemned the apparent rise in Islamophobia and called for the passage of a special law to punish those who instigate violence against minorities.

Several resolutions were voted on by the organization, including one on the apparent rise in hate campaigns and Islamophobia in the country.

“The growth in Islamophobia, in addition to cases of hatred and incitement against the Muslim minority, has recently reached an alarming level in our country,” the Jaimiat claimed.
