In another case of road rage in Delhi, a man — after being hit by a minibus — was forced to climb the bonnet of a minibus which dragged him for several metres late on Sunday.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which took place on Ring Road. The victim was travelling towards the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway from Lajpat Nagar.

Visuals of the incident, going viral on social media, show the man hanging onto the Force Traveller’s bonnet with one hand.

Police filed a complaint in connection with the incident after they received a call from an eyewitness on Sunday night.

At present, the eyewitness had said that he would not be able come to the national capital as he is in the neighbouring state of Uttar Pradesh.

Police is trying to contact the caller to ensure that he comes to Delhi, following which they will be able to take necessary legal actions in the matter.

PREVIOUS ROAD ACCIDENTS

Last month, a 30-year-old autorickshaw driver was killed while another person was seriously injured after an unknown vehicle rammed into the auto near Welcome Metro Station in northeast Delhi.

Police had received a PCR call regarding the accident, following which a team rushed to the spot and took the two persons to GTB hospital. The autorickshaw driver, however, was declared brought dead by the doctors.

In another road accident, a speeding electric bus lost control and crashed into multiple cars and scooters in Delhi’s Rohini area, leaving one person dead and another injured.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus hitting multiple vehicles including a car, an e-rickshaw and a bike and then dragging them.

Police had received a PCR call regarding the accident, following which they reached the spot and found one injured person, who was later declared dead. The other injured person was being treated at a hospital.

Early in November, a 30-year-old budding documentary filmmaker met with an accident near Delhi’s Huaz Khas police station and lay bleeding for nearly half an hour before someone helped and took him to a hospital.

The victim, Piyush Pal, hit another bike and fell on the ground. He sustained severe injuries to his face and head, leading to his death.

The incident occurred on the Outer Ring Road, in the lane leading from IIT-Delhi crossing to Nehru Place.
