On Wednesday, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated 13 years on Twitter. He used the microblogging app to express his feelings about finishing 13 years. He not only mentioned the app’s positive aspects but also its negative aspects.
On Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted, “Realised it’s 13yrs on Twitter. It’s been great having all of you and your fan clubs support me. Mixed in with well-wishes, suggestions, memes, re-edits, expectations, unsolicited advice, and some questionable behavior… My best wishes for a successful life in the real world go out to everyone. #Pathan”
Shah Rukh’s fans and followers wished him a happy birthday. “Thank you for always taking a minute out of your day to thank us and appreciate all the love that you already deserve, ur tweet means so much,” a fan wrote. “We love you so much, King, and we would love to see you in the Middle East promoting your upcoming films,” said another.
Shah Rukh will next be seen in Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Deepika Padukone and John Abraham also appear in the film. According to chairperson Prasoon Joshi, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently directed the film’s producers to implement “changes” in the film, including its songs, in accordance with board guidelines.
“The film was recently submitted for certification to the CBFC examination committee. The film was subjected to a thorough examination in accordance with CBFC guidelines. “The committee has directed the producers to implement the recommended changes in the film, including the songs, and to submit the revised version prior to the film’s theatrical release,” Prasoon said in a statement to PTI.
Pathaan has been embroiled in controversy and calls for a ban since the December 12 release of its song Besharam Rang, which also features Deepika Padukone. A sequence in the song showing Deepika in a saffron bikini led to protests across India for allegedly hurting “Hindu sentiments”.
Pathaan will be released on January 25th, and the trailer will reportedly be released on January 10th.
