Some of the events in Bihar have been so bizarre that they almost seem made up!
And there are so many that we could compile a list. Check them out:
1. Goons stole a 2-kilometer stretch of road
Goons from Bihar’s Kharouni village stole 2 kilometers of the road by plowing and sowing wheat fields in its place.
2. Fraudsters operated a bogus police station just meters away from a legitimate one.
In Bihar’s Banka, a group of con artists ran a fake police station 500 meters away from a real one, and it took the authorities 8 months to figure it out.
3. A Bihar University student received a 151 out of 100 on an exam.
A BA Honours undergraduate student at Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) in Bihar received 151% on his Political Science exam, taking “extra marks for good handwriting” to the next level. Not only that, but he failed the exam!
4. Monkey and her baby went to a clinic to have her wounds treated by a doctor.
No, we are not quoting a nursery rhyme. In Bihar, a monkey and her baby sat on the patient’s seat at Dr. S M Ahmed’s Medico Clinic in Sasaram’s Shahjama around noon to be treated for their wounds.
5. In class, a Coaching Center played an item number.
A video went viral on the internet a while back showing a teacher from a coaching center named ‘Vikas’ playing a Bhojpuri item number in class and the audience cheering. ‘Vikas,’ how are you?
6. A Bihar daily wager earning 500 per day received a 37.5 lakh Income Tax notice.
A daily wager from Maghauna village in Bihar’s Khagaria district who earns ₹500/day, was served with an Income Tax notice for 37.5 lakh.
7. A man built a model of his first car, a Mahindra Scorpio, and displayed it on the roof terrace of his four-story home.
A man in Bhagalpur, Bihar, bought his first car, a Mahindra Scorpio, and installed a Scorpio water tank on his terrace as a tribute to his car.
8. A student fanned the teacher as she slept peacefully in class.
A teacher was seen sleeping at a government primary school in Bagahi Puraina village, West Champaran district, while a student fanned her and the rest of the students sat on the floor.
